The competition will be run on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May 2026. Access to the field will start at 10am.

The following competitions will take place: Sprint, 4km, and Mixed Relay run archery events.

Registration:
Registration on Ocean Field (see image above) from 10 am. Archery GB membership cards will be required.
Event Timings:
- Registration open from 10am.
Rules briefing at 10.30am. - Practice shooting for sprint runners at 10:30pm
- Rules briefing for sprint races 11.00pm
- First sprint heat 11:15am
- Second sprint heat 11:45am
Third sprint heat 12:15pm - Lunch Break / Practice
- Mixed Relay Sprint, for non 4K runners : 1.30pm
- 4km start at 2:30pm (group start)
- Awards to follow.
Event Format:
See timings as above. These are the expected timings but may be subject to change.
While we expect to have enough assistance from our Neston members, we may require additional assistance from archers awaiting their start time with spotting/marshal the course.
Awards:
This event is part of the National Series of Run Archery, and the points acquired here will go towards the Archer`s scores in the event. We will also be giving out awards for each category on the day.
Refreshments:
There are no facilities on site but within 1mile at Clatterbridge roundabout we have a Subway and Starbucks facilities. Bottled water will be available free of charge.
Lost Arrows:
Lost arrows must be reported to a judge or member of the field party. Please remember to inform them if you later find the arrow. It is the archer’s responsibility to account for all arrows before leaving the field as it is a mixed-use field.
Photography:
People wishing to take photos during the tournament must register their details at registration. If anyone has any concerns/issues with being filmed or photographed, they should notify the tournament organisers.
Notes:
This is the fourth time we have held a run archery event. We hope it will be an enjoyable experience for all and hope this series will grow in the future.
Smoking:
Smoking and e-cigarettes/vapes are not permitted within the field boundaries.
Pets:
Well behaved pets are welcome but please keep on a lead. Owners will be expected to clean up any mess.
Car Parking:
Ample parking on the designated parking area on the event field which is located 100m further along Thornton Common Rd on Ocean Field. Toilet facilities will be accessed at the main Rugby Club.
Entry:
The entry fee is as follows:
- £10 for one race ( Sprint OR 4K ), plus Mixed Relay:
- £15 for two races (Sprint AND 4K), plus Mixed Relay
No place will be held unless full payment has been received.
Closing Date for entries:
20th May or when full.
